Will Varley has announced a European tour for autumn 2018, and you can buy tickets now.

Varley celebrated the release of his fifth studio album, Spirit of Minnie (buy it on vinyl, CD or download from our shop) with a packed-out show at London’s own Shepherd’s Bush Empire in February 2018. He then spent the first part of this year playing his new album live around the world; touring extensively in the US, appearing at SXSW festival in Texas and selling out venues across the UK and Europe.

Described recently by Donovan as "the next generation” and counting the likes of Billy Bragg, Tim Minchin and Frank Turner among his fans, it seems the rambling songwriter who cut his teeth haunting the open mics of south London is finally getting the attention he deserves. Don’t miss him across Europe this autumn.

THE RPMS RELEASE NEW SINGLE 'LET THINGS HAPPEN' – LISTEN NOW // LIVE DATES 2018

The RPMs release their new single ‘Let Things Happen’ via Xtra Mile Recordings across all digital formats. Listen to it below and buy it here.

New single ‘Let Things Happen’ raises the bar significantly for this young Brighton band. Following the success of their previous single, ‘Your Ghost’, ‘Let Things Happen’ is cast firmly in the mould of classic indie pop, fusing contemporary songwriting sensibilities with the fluttering sounds of lush keyboards interwoven with melodic, ringing guitars. Speaking of the new single, singer Jack Valero said, “It’s written about how sometimes in life you just have to sit back and go with the flow and is very much based on where we are as a band right now. You face many difficult obstacles in life especially when you’re in a band and it’s all about how you overcome them and carry on, just like it says in the chorus ‘Pick up and start again’. It’s a positive message to not allow yourself to be defeated and also to remember sometimes to let go and live in the moment instead of trying to control it."

The RPM’s emerged from the Brighton scene that has also birthed contemporaries Black Honey and Fickle Friends. The band was formed in Dorset by childhood friends Jack Valero (lead vocals, guitar), Callum James, (drums and backing vocals). Following a move to Brighton they were joined by Miguel Cosme on bass and gained early momentum in 2016 for their debut EP, ‘Digital Disobedience, followed by their second EP in 2017, ‘Agents of Change’ released via Xtra Mile Recordings. Inspired by the support of singles ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Things I Forgot To Do’, The RPM’s expanded to a five piece, adding in Chris Bowden on keyboards and Ollie Summer on lead guitar to create a larger live sound and carve out a more ambitious sonic direction. Aided by in demand producer Gethin Pearson (Mallory Knox/Charli XCX) ‘Let Things Happens’ flows effortlessly into their steadily evolving plot together with other significant milestones: Their London debut for Abbie McCarthy - Good Karma Club, their SXSW debut; being chosen by Huw Stephens as one of his Alternative Tips for 2018; their first Radio X-Posure session and inclusion on R1’s Best Of BBC Introducing Playlist.  The RPMs are set to tour extensively throughout Spring and Summer in support of ‘Let Things Happen’ and their upcoming third single for 2018, ‘Gotta Let Go’ slated for release in September via Xtra Mile Recordings.

ROB LYNCH RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'RED LION SQUARE' // LISTEN NOW

‘Red Lion Square’ is the first new music to be released by Rob Lynch in almost two years and you can stream it below. You can also buy it via Xtra Mile Recordings on digital download.

Apart from a short solo headline tour and a support run with Deaf Havana, Lynch was quiet for much of 2017 but is excited to get back to it with a new song, an appearance at Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings II and Slam Dunk Festival performances plotted.

“I was having a bit of a rough time and I was feeling like I could do with having a bit of a pep talk from my dad,” Rob says. “He’s been gone from the mortal world for ten years now, so that’s not really an option, but I wrote this song as a bit of a catch up with him. I go back to Stamford, my hometown, when I need to level out and get my head straight, and 'Red Lion Square' is in the heart of the town.

Recording for the first time with Phil Gornell at Steel City Studios in Sheffield, Rob took along good friend James Veck-Gilodi for the trip. James lent his luscious vocals and smooth guitar work to Rob’s touching songwriting skills. Having had a full band set up on 2016’s full-length Baby, I’m A Runaway, Rob has now returned to his more stripped back, emotive roots with ‘Red Lion Square’, tapping into some newfound pop sensibilities too. With the recording of a new album in the pipeline, this is a taste of things to come with a song that tugs at the heartstrings in the best possible way.

GET CAPE. WEAR CAPE. FLY. RELEASES NEW SINGLE 'ANIMATE' FROM LATEST ALBUM 'YOUNG ADULT' // SPRING 2018 UK TOUR DATES AND FESTIVAL SHOWS

In celebration of what will be Get Cape’s first UK tour run for over four years, Sam and his band are delighted to mark the occasion with the release of new single 'Animate'.

Hitting the road with a full live band, Sam Duckworth and co. will play an unmissable headline hometown gig at Southend’s Chinnery’s venue on 12 May 2018 before supporting Frank Turner at the Lost Evenings II festival at London Roundhouse on 14 May as well as making other appearances at the likes of Liverpool’s EBGBs, Handmade Festival and more throughout the month of May.

Listen to 'Animate' below.

“These days shortcuts are easy. Whether it's ‘wikipediaing' in a pub quiz or reading the spoilers, technology has made it easier to know it all. By taking a step back from the digital realm, sometimes we are able to feel suspense and uncertainty, in their more forgiving forms. Life is moving so fast, for me, it’s been a case of working out which shortcuts I like and which pre-digital elements of my life I want to retain. Sometimes, that longer car journey is a better experience." muses Sam Duckworth as he takes a step back for a moment’s tranquil contemplation and observation on this dreamy cut from acclaimed latest album Young Adult

Washed in a hazy reverb and bejeweled with sequined synthesiser lines, ‘Animate’ is a mellow, reflective and utterly joyous new single to soundtrack the sleepy awakening of spring.

After a four year recording hiatus from the moniker, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. returned with his sumptuous new album Young Adult in January 2018. Featuring a string of equally different and individually brilliant singles including 'Adults', 'Always', 'Just A Phase', 'DNA', and ‘VHS Forever’, the album was met with warm reviews, with Louder Than War praising Sam’s skill for “catchy and introspective 3 minute pop songs”, while Upset Magazine championed the record as a “soundtrack to a revolution” (4/5).

Making his return to the live stage with a triumphant one-off UK show at Village Underground in London back in January to mark the release of Young Adult (a show hailed by The Independent as “a heartfelt and raucous performance” (4/5)), Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is well and truly back. Catch Sam and band at the following shows:
